I am currently on my daughter's computer because my computer will not recognize my keyboard or mouse. It's very fustrating, I was minding my own business when suddenly when I would push an icon to start a program I would get the properties window. So I restarted the system to kick it out of that mode and it wouldn't recognize the mouse or keyboard. They are getting power but not working at all.
I tried hitting the F keys when it was restarting but no go. Any ideas? Anyone that can help?

If they are USB try unplugging them and putting them in a different USB port. My mouse has randomly been doing the exact same thing lately, and that seems to fix it :)

Make sure none of the keys are stuck down - especially 'CTRL', 'ALT' and the other keys on that bottom row.
If you press 'Num Lock' a few times does the light flash on and off? |

The Keyboard is PS2 and the mouse is USB. I will try unplugging and plugging back in and double checking to make sure nothing is stuck. I did get it to go to a boot menu by pressing F10 but then nothing, everything was dead again :(

just make sure to turn the computer off before unplugging the PS2 -- it could short the connection.
