I am busy printing some black and white photos on premium semigloss paper with an epson r1800 printer. I am using profiles which i think i downloaded from the epson site. They are about 85% good, but there still seems to be a very slight purplish cast to the black and white photos, so I am interested in trying out some other profiles.

Does anyone know of a website who has good paper profiles to download?

yeah, you can print in greyscale, but that is sort of avoiding the problem of a ill-aligned profile.

check with the makers of the paper.

I know that Kodak has profiles for its pro paper that are pretty good.

Convert your black and white to greyscale in photoshop before printing. If you still have a color cast problems, I think your only way out of this will be building your own profile. I myself tried premium semigloss by Epson with my R1800 and I hate it. Perhaps you could give a look at other higher end paper like this one.

It happens to be my favorite by far and Ilford make hi quality profiles for R1800.
