Hi my cousin cannot open a CR2 file on his cs2 taken from the rebel XT. Is there something he needs to do?
I can open the raw file off of the 20D but when he trys to from the rebel XT it says cannot open because of wrong file type.
It is a CR2 file and looks exactly the same as the 20D but will not open in the raw.
I have tried for him but with no joy, also we have tried RAW and Raw + Jpeg modes but the raw file just will not open in CS2.
Please help as i am lost now.
Any info would be appreciated |

download the latest edition of adobe raw. found on adobe.com

| yes you need to go to adobe.com and go to downloads then you need to download the 3.4 update which makes CS2 compatible with CR2 files. It's free and just takes a few minutes |

trHANKS GUYS BUT I CANNOT SEEM TO FIND ONE FOR WINDOWS ONLY mACINTOSH
Any links ? If i try to use that file it doesnt recognise the file |

Here is a thread where I was asking the same question. Someone gave me a link. Here
another thing is that you need to follow the instructions that adobe give you VERY carefully. you have to put the file in the exact place that they say in the instructions
