I don't know much about jets to be honest, but I went to an airshow twice, it looks like some type of F18 or F14 or whatever. What the heck is coming out of the exhaust?

May be the F16. Note the "fins" under the aircraft and the single "tailfin" above.

F-16. I think what you're seeing is the top fin, the only thing coming out of the exhaust are the exhaust gasses. |

Yep, that's it, it was playing cat and mouse with f15 strike eagles that we regurlarly see around here. |

Ahh good call. It almost looked like something on a line coming out...but now I see that it is the fin. My bad.

I remember driving down 117 on the way to Wilmington and being buzzed by F-4s. They would fly over from behind a very low altitudes making a hell of a noise. I had a TR6 at the time and it seemed my little car was fun for them to play with.

I grew up in Cary then moved to Banner Elk. From there skiing took me here to SLC. I had a friend that owned a place on Causeway Dr on the way out to Wrightsville Beach and I knew a girl there ;D
