Aruba - Comments/critiques requested

Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM

I just got back from a week in Aruba two days ago. Unfortunately the viewfinder on my camera was slightly out of focus and since I was focusing manually, a lot of my pictures ended up out of focus. I also had a tremendous amount of sensor dust which wrecked some photos beyond repair.

Some shots did come out well however, and I was wondering if I could get some comments and/or critiques on it. Too bad I wasn't there this week so I could have entered the beach challenge...

I was also wondering, do you prefer it with or without the clouds?

I soooooooooooooo loved the fishing boats and blue water when I was there. I came back with some great shots - my favorites are the panoramics of the fishing boats against cloudy skies.

I like the ones you posted - with clouds of course. :)

They are OK pictures. My only problem with them is that the sand is blown out.

i like the photo without the clouds. They are not placed ideally and add nothing to the composition because they are non-recurring (ie. no pattern) and they are small and up against the top of the frame.
