Just wanted to thank everyone who has commented on my images over the year I have been here. I know a 1000 isn't a lot when compared to others but it's a nice whole number which I'm pretty happy with and as a token of my appreciation feel free to leave photos for me to comment on or better yet just ask for some comments and let me find some hidden treasures in your own portfolios. Again, thanks to everyone!

Richard, 1,000 comments received is great, however, making 1912 is a bigger achievement my friend!

Thanks but the negative side of me only see that difference between "made" and "helpful" although I've enjoyed all of the comments I have left.

ok, for me (if you wondering and can't sleep at night) there are no differences between a "cool shot" and 4 paragraph comment.
at the end of the 4 paragraph I will now if I have done good or bad... simple is that... I probably learn more, but comment is a comment... someone spent time stopped by and actually typed something... 1001 times ;) |

imho although its good to have lots of marked as 'helpfull' comments (and I think you have a good average) I would not put too much store on that statistic, some people mark all comments as helpfull as recognition and some mark none as helpfull (because they don't care) whilst others may not agree with your comment so don't mark it as helpfull.
You really need to comment more to get your given to received as 2:1! That is an awesome ratio you have already considering the amount of votes!
