Well he was clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time...

He probably killed the tree peeing on it, so yeah, still his fault! :P

Oh hangon, I think I got the answer already!

Of course he's wrong, because he was probably SUPPOSED to be the one chopping down the tree for firewood instead of playing with silly one-handed existentialistic games, so instead, the WOMAN had to go out and chop the tree down herself and it's therefore his own damned fault for A: not hearing the complaining about the house being cold, B: not hearing the nagging to get the damned firewood already, C: getting distracted instead of accomplishing his task, and D: standing around, getting in the woman's way when she finally had to get up and do it herself!!!

At least, I think that's what my mother would tell me...

Yes, mother, I will turn off the computer now...

What's that? You can see that I haven't? But mother, you are on the other side of the Pacific Ocean... You couldn't possibly...

Yes mother...

i'd be happy to put my shutter speed, iso etc. let me dig it up. Remember Prof Fate, everyone was looking straight up in a stare, so most were very still. Check out my 2nd place right now for info. Thanks for the interest/speculation....

Okay here it is:

2.5 seconds

f/11

ISO: 400

Good?

It was handheld. But just got fortunate with appropriating correct exposure, with some help of Adobe Raw...

If someone is caught with more than one account, shoudn't all the accounts be closed? Or, at the very least, all but one closed and the remaining one given a fairly generous suspension? Multiple accounts is a more serious violation than a mere editing rules infration.

Maestro was a person who was banned and tried to sneak back in with a new account.

See this thread.

I had selected her fireworks shot as a favorite. It still shows up in my list, and I am debating taking it out. I like the photo, but I am not sure my conscience will let me keep it there.

Well, me too. But the work is the work, isn't it? Regardless of who this person is, that was a heck of a fireworks shot...

I totally understand. The trust was completely broken. Where do the lies and deception end? Were those really even Maestro's shots? Or was it all just some sick joke to try and disrupt the integrity of this site by showing their own lack of integrity and professionalism?

No offense, but I have hidden some posts that speculate about the identity of the "offender." Please remember that teh SC and admins have not made this public knowledge, and speculation is just speculation. There are other (better) explanations in another thread that I can't find right now.

thanks.

Well whomever it was, those were two good entries. A very good week for them - but only briefly.

Talk about mixed feelings..
07/14/2006 01:24:05 PM · #45
it's too bad that someone w/ 2 5th place finishes in one week has no self awareness or control to be a positive member... sorry but it's a little too late, move on eh?

Sooo... the message attached to the DQ'ed entries on the last page of challenge results could, in this case, be read as "banned person attempted to re-enter under a new identity, AND WAS CAUGHT TWICE." :-)

I am late to this thread but I have a question.

If this guy had multiple accounts and was DQ'd why do they allow a married couple to have 2 seperate accounts? Because according to the law when married everything becomes joint property.. Which by this rule would mean that all the couples on this site are dual account holders.

I really dont care either way. The more the merrier I always say. But I don't want to see the same rule bite one person and pet the other. It just doesn't sound fair.

Yeppers! Nailed it.

It wasn't multiple accounts. It was a permanently-banned former member who just couldn't stay away.
