OK, I'm selling prints. (I'm pretty excited about all this). I hope to be selling hundreds by the weekend. (hope is the key word here) The question is, Who's buying them? I wanted to send a bottle of cold duck a bouquet of flowers and tickets to the opera to everyone who purchased a print, but I don't know who they are! I want to know, is my print hanging on the wall next to the Renoir or is it in the laundry room? He he. This is pretty fun. I would love to see more challenges geared around sellable prints. Maybe a right and left challenge set of two. Or photograph a shot perfect for the hunters den, or the reading room. A macro shot is fun, but who wants to buy a cockroach?

I've sold 1 so far, but there's still time for everyone to jump on this band wagon. :)
Folks, these are limited edition prints. I will only allow 10,000 of each to be sold. But wait, don't answer yet, You also get bulk rate discounts. 30% off if purchased in min. 100 print purchases. Don't Wait, these wont last. There going like hotcake. (singular so far).

Print sale up to 60% off, 'till Monday.

Also, just to brag, sold another original framed print for $850; although this still hasn't paid for the project.

So have you sold 160, or do you hope to sell 160 this weekend?

If the former, I'm very impressed. What's the secret of your success? Is it subject matter, quality of the shots? Do you advertise your prints somehow? If so, how?

I haven't sold a print yet. My colleagues, friends and family say "Oh, those are nice, you shouldn't have any trouble selling them" but that hasn't translated into actual sales yet. I'm hungry for any tips I can get.

Cheers

I sold Seven prints yesterday (not through DPCPrints...sorry). I also had a request to take some portraits that will result in some more print sales.

Folks really seem to like these two shots:

//www.dpcprints.com/print.php?IMAGE_ID=17068

So far so good :)

Shari
PS, they like another one, but it's not doing so hot in the current challenge. Go figure.
