I'm actually sad about this because it means that I will kill my wonderful D200 in only a few years (at most)....

Owned: 85 days (2.5 months)

Actuations: 6,499

How about you guys? Make me feel better about my over use (or worse about my under use)!

they put in the shutter actuations to save their asses. You should expect to get well over that IMO.

Shutter can be replaced, it's demise will not mean your camera is dead.

Oh yeah. Somebody here sent their Canon for minor repairs, and they changed the shutter mechanism free of cost. Don't remember who it was...

You shouldn't feel bad about underuse at all. I've had mine about 6 months and I'm only at 8504.

got my XT in mid feb 06 and Im at 7918. I dont feel bad about it being that high already just because it has been a great learning experience learning to use the dang thing. I am just now becomming a bit more confident in what Im shooting and how Im shooting it(and dont have near as much garbage as I first did).
