I've seen it spelled both "snood" and "snoot" here.
Thanks! |

I've never seen any term other than "snoot", but I could be wrong. Anyway, it's a tube that goes over a light to make it more directional and narrow the beam. |

Yup, what Spaz said.
Snood is one of the croched hat-thingies women used to put their hair up in. Like an old-fashioned hair net.

A snood is a woman's head-dress. It's worn round the back of the head and holds the hair at the nape of he neck. |

Thanks, everyone, for answering my question!
I definitely saw someone here discussing a "snood" she made from a rolled-up piece of paper of some kind. This was in her comments on an entry.
I guess she misspelled it. :) |

I'm hungry, won't you give me some food?
Well, I don't mean to be rude,
But I'm not in the mood
It must be my attitude said the rude nude snude... |

I dare not intrude where my snood does protrude however your food has improved my mood and now my nude attitude is improved.

I have a snood .. but do wear it on the motorcycle .. underneath my helmit ... it is like almost a scarf and almost a hood ... keeps the neck and head warm while not dangling down like a scarf :)
(I don't think this helps) :) |

Didn't Nick Kershaw used to wear one in the 80's (In Britain)?
edit: Kershaw, not Heyward. Come on, it was a long time ago.
