I still have ZERO too.
But I have commented on 95 (25%)!
I think I learn more from others anyway.
Or at least that's what I keep telling myself! ;)

I wuz joking. Usually, the higher or lower your score, the more comments you get. That's why DrAchoo does his 4.5-5.5 score commenting threads.

Also, the challenges with a gazillion entries tend to overwhelm people away from giving comments like they normally would.
I'm feeling rather lucky to have attracted four comments for this one.

You have rated 377 of 378 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 195 of 378 images (52%) in this challenge.
I think that's only the second time I've voted on every picture. And I'm sure that's more comments than I've made before.
Edited to say that I'd be happy to provide more detail to anyone for whom I left a comment. Just PM me.

per·spec·tive (pər-spĕk'tĭv)
n.
A view or vista.
A mental view or outlook: “It is useful occasionally to look at the past to gain a perspective on the present” (Fabian Linden).
The appearance of objects in depth as perceived by normal binocular vision.
The relationship of aspects of a subject to each other and to a whole: a perspective of history; a need to view the problem in the proper perspective.
Subjective evaluation of relative significance; a point of view: the perspective of the displaced homemaker.
The ability to perceive things in their actual interrelations or comparative importance: tried to keep my perspective throughout the crisis.
The technique of representing three-dimensional objects and depth relationships on a two-dimensional surface.
adj.
Of, relating to, seen, or represented in perspective.

Now tell me something, how can ANY image in the challenge be deemed DNMC??? Answer me please.
Personal bais and perseptions suck
I suck,

Simple.
The challenge says use perspective to create impact on your photograph. If you try to muscle in an emotion there, I doubt it will do well. "Using" perspective IMHO means in the architectural kind of way.
My 2 cents. |

than the challege should have been architectural perspective, but even than it wouldn't work,
What is it anyway?
Seems to me, unless there is a HUGE Off angled shot, it isn't deemed as being perspective.
don't get me wrong, mine is a fun shot, and don't care about the current 3.8 score it has. I just don't like the DNMC when the challenge is as vague as Perspective.
Tell me, What is in Perspective?

it's cause of the almost 400 entries. comments are more spread out. so = less per person.
i think.

I think most voters are thinking the same, but in reality persective can be in size, distance, angles etc. It really does not have to be an architectural fading of a wall into the distance |

Basically, as I understand it, the more involved perspective is in the photo's story or dramatic impact, the better the photo should score.

Look at the previous Perspective Challenge. See the Top 10? One shot snuck in that had to do with "thoughts, emotion, and feeling".
Recent Challenge
IMHO, the reason why this image by eslaydog made it to the top 10 is due to its sharpness, post processing clarity, and overall image appeal to the average DPC voter.
Every other shot, including the controversy that surrounded the Blue were POV and/or using vanishing points. In architecture, if the vanishing point is evident (within the frame of the composition), that makes for a strong perspective. |
