I'm looking at entering a "real" photo competition in the category of nature. You can enter up to 4 prints in a category. I've narrowed it down to 7. Can you give me some advice on which ones you think would do best?? Thanks :)

The actual description is really long but the first few lines go like this....

Nature photography depicts living, untamed animals and uncultivated plants in a natural habitat, geology and the wide diversity of natural phenomena, from insects to icebergs.

It's pretty broad.

Penny, which competition is it that you are entering?

It sounds a bit like the start of the PSA or FIAP definition of nature.

If so, you might find that the pelican on the post won't do too well, the selectors won't like the post. The footprints and the vehicle tracks? on the beach also won't be too popular. Tough crowd to please ;)

The competition is for the Perth Royal Show Western Australia. Thanks for the advice on the human element, I wouldn't have thought of that.
