I've seen it spelled both "snood" and "snoot" here.

Thanks!

Dunno, but when I saw the subject of the thread I thought "have you sassed that hoopy Ford Prefect?"

I've never seen any term other than "snoot", but I could be wrong. Anyway, it's a tube that goes over a light to make it more directional and narrow the beam.

Yup, what Spaz said.

Snood is one of the croched hat-thingies women used to put their hair up in. Like an old-fashioned hair net.

A snood is a woman's head-dress. It's worn round the back of the head and holds the hair at the nape of he neck.

Thanks, everyone, for answering my question!

I definitely saw someone here discussing a "snood" she made from a rolled-up piece of paper of some kind. This was in her comments on an entry.

I guess she misspelled it. :)

Yeah, I remember that one.....

Is your snood rude with attitude? My snood is rude and has great attitude when nude. That's one rude nude snood with attitude, dude!

I'm hungry, won't you give me some food?
Well, I don't mean to be rude,
But I'm not in the mood
It must be my attitude said the rude nude snude...

I dare not intrude where my snood does protrude however your food has improved my mood and now my nude attitude is improved.

I have a snood .. but do wear it on the motorcycle .. underneath my helmit ... it is like almost a scarf and almost a hood ... keeps the neck and head warm while not dangling down like a scarf :)

(I don't think this helps) :)

07/13/2006 03:13:08 AM · #21
Has no top on it ... only covers the neck and mouth .. not the head :)

Didn't Nick Kershaw used to wear one in the 80's (In Britain)?

edit: Kershaw, not Heyward. Come on, it was a long time ago.
