As you can see, I have a Minolta 7D. The pictures it takes have an aspect ratio of 1.5:1. I recently resized a few to print out at Walmart and was very pleased at the results. The problem I have is that Walmart only prints 4x6(1.5:1), 5x7(1.4:1) and 8x10(1.25:1). Which obviously means for the 2 larger sizes I would either have to add a border on the 'shorter sides' OR crop the photo to get the correct aspect ratio for the print. Cropping would make the larger 2 photos look different than the smallest and adding a border on only 2 sides makes it look awkward (as would leaving it with no border). Any ideas what else I could do?

Depending on your subject you could resize without scaling or keeping the proportions. Just adjust the image size to the print size. This would cause the subject to not be as proportionate as in real life, but most often the resizing is not apparent.

If you order them through kodakgallery.com and turn off "Zoom & Trim", it will add that border automatically. Of course this means that the white border will be visible through a standard size frame, but if you can custom frame or it doesn't matter for whatever reason, then it's a decent option.

You can buy prints in the 1:1.5 aspect ratio in 5 sizes from DPCPrints.
4x6
8x12
10x15
16x24
20x30

Edit: Make that 7 sizes - add
12x18
24x36
