I own an old Minolta SLR camera.
It takes lovely pictures but I'm switching to digital. However, I'd like to keep the lenses, if possible, and save myself that expense.
The two Minolta lenses are a 1:5.6 100-200mm zoom, and a 1:1.7 50mm. Bayonet-type.
They're great lenses, in great shape.
Does anyone know of a currently available, decent quality digital body that these would fit?
I've done some Web research, but have turned up very little of any use. |

| Not that I'm an expert, but I'm guessing a Konica-Minolta SLR or the new Sony Alpha SLR. |

Di meant are they auto-focus or do you focus them manually?

Can you post a pic of the side that mounts to the camera? Maybe at a bit of an angle?
Edited to add:What model was the camera you were using them on?Most of the pre-Maxxum/Dynax lenses will still fit on the Maxxum/Dynax.

| I personally wouldn't completely base your decision around the lenses. You could get equivalent quality from any brand for just a couple hundred dollars which, in terms of most photography equipment, really isn't much. A canon 50mm1.8 is only 80 bucks brand new. Not that minolta isn't good but you'll end up spending a pretty penny no matter brand you go with. |

| The rokkor lens were older lens..and I dont bleieve they will work on the current minolta/sony mount. There might be an adapter but you'd ahve to google ti to find out . |

| If you have to use an adapter you can also buy adapters to mount to Canon/Nikon/Olympus, then your camera choice doesn't depend on the lenses anymore... |

Good point about the adapter.
The camera is a SRT 101..discontinued in the mid-70's. Nicknamed the "tank" because of its rugged construction and go-anywhere durability. |

| The lenses from my SRT101 (yes, I still have it!) don't fit onto my film or digital Dynax (Maxxum) cameras. I have heard there is an adapter that will do it, but I haven't sought it out because I have a 50/1.4 for the Dynax anyway, and the zoom lenses for the SRT101 are incredibly heavy - the reason I first bought an AF camera was because the MF lenses were so heavy that I never took the camera out to take photos. |
