...and lens changing.

I am going to invent a little Plexiglas box that will allow me to clean lenses and sensors and/or be able to change my lenses in 99% dust free environment.

...but before I go ahead spend time and money, do you guys know anything that already been invented and out there?

I probably will share it with you later on if I ever get the patten for it.

Unless you can take photos from inside the plexiglass box, what's the point? Most lenses aren't air tight and neither are the camera bodies. So as soon as it comes out of it's box, I suspect you will have dust again.

I was thinking about this same idea the other day, much like those film changing boxes. I just might have to come up with a diagram and patent it before you. ;-)

Thanks.

It would be so great to clean lenses and change lenses without worrying about any dust particles... which can be done with a small filtration system, and a vacuuming in a little box... just like that.

that doesn't sound practical to me at all. Carrying around a big box to switch a lens? You shouldn't be getting all that much dust in your camera from normal case lens switching.

agreed... but at least when cleaning the sensor or something.

I don't know. Maybe just to reduce chance of getting dust onto sensor... and i don't think carrying around is a practical idea, I was thinking at home before go out start taking pictures. Although this might not be for every photographer since some people change lenses few times during shooting.
