I ordered this...

...and put it on my D70s and it really does a great job of magnifying what you see in the view finder. That was my biggest complaint of the D70s was the size of the viewfinder. On my 35mm film Nikon, the view finder image is huge. Anyway, I thought this might come in handy for some of you who were sharing the same frustration I was.
It appears to be out of stock at B&H, but it might be available somewhere else.

Thanks fot the heads up. Does the 1.17x make a big difference?

Quick question, does the magnification clip the edges any?

It is certainly a noticable difference. It was very small before, now is just small. If the price was any higher I would say it isn't worth it, but for $25, I am ok with it. |

Hi David, I didn't notice any clipping. It just makes everything look a little bigger. I suppose there could be a slight amount of clipping, but I took it off and on several times and couldn't see any.

I looked at this on B&H but it says it is for the D200.
Does it also fit the D70? |

Errr....a Magnifying glass...ya know...the type in the Pink Panther...hey I can just picture you doing that...would make for a great photo too...with a vivid pink background and the pink panther posing for the camera. |

I was reading on DPreview that this Pentax Magnifier can be modified to fit the 300D

jahoward (the OP) has a D70 and said it fits on his. The links I posted are for the same model number (so yes :) )
