I want to find some book of photography not about photography or how to do photography. Where would i look online, I tried amazon and all i could get to pull up on photography was about how to do it. I want to search for table top books on some subjects. Maybe someone can help.

What type of photography? Landscape? Portraits? etc..

Search on famous photographers, Ansel Adams for example, and see what comes up.

Who's your favourite photographer?

I was looking more for photography in Tennessee or of a certain area, it could be landscape or anything.....not just by the most famous photographers but just some published ones.

I was look for a photography book with the format where it would have a photo on one page or maybe both and would give info on the photo like the place and time and why it was taken.

National Geographic:
- Through the Lense (excellent general collection)
- In Focus (portraits)

Yousuf Karsh: Heroes of Light and ShadowHeroes of Light and Shadow

The NG books are, as would be expected, absolutely beautiful. They are usually the more popular books of any guests that come over to my house. The Karsh coffee-table book is my favourite though, but I'll be the first to admit that I am a Karsh addict. I've yet to find someone who matches the intensity he could capture through both light and posing.

Where would i search for books like that with other subjects and would i search for the photographer or the subject

I did a quick google search with "tennessee + book + photography" and the list referenced a few photographers.

George Humphries (never heard of him but this is one of the names that came up) apparently has photographed quite a bit of the state.
