Anyone know of any good warranty plans i can buy for a nikon d50. Like a 5 year plan that includes incidentals.

Mack warranties are available from B&H regardless of where you bought the camera, for the D50 a 5 year costs $60. Only catch is that you must purchase the warranty within 30 days of purchasing the camera.

Look at the last item in the list of accessories on this page D50 @ B&H.

I was about to buy a D200 body only from Broadway Photo (thanks to my wonderful hubby for the money surprise) but they claim that I can't buy my warranty elsewhere because they have an exclusive agreement with the manufacturer. (I canceled my order to think about it). Does that sound right? I was hoping to find an iron-clad warranty elsewhere in the next 30 days. Any advice would be appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

Wolf/ritz camera is the only place i'm aware of that offers a warranty that will cover damage. They cover anything you can possibly do to it as long as you can still read the serial code and it dosen't matter how many times it happens either. It does not cover theft or loss of course. I'm sure that B&H dosen't cover all that for only 60 dollars. You will have to expect to pay a big chunk of cash for it. I haven't worked there since christmas so I can't remember exactly, but I think one year is about 120 for a d50(a good bit more for a d200). So 120*5 and minus 10% for multi year plan. About 450 if my quick math serves correct. A lot of money but if you break your camera once in five years you'll more than make up for it.
You can go to wolfcamera.com and look at a camera and I'm sure they have the price for Extended Service Plan under the accessories.

Was it this Broadway Photo? //www.resellerratings.com/seller1995.html
they got a 0.80 out of 10.00

Interesting note from Reseller Ratings:
