This was my first "pro" slideshow of photos that i have done. i'm going to eventually get into professional photography including event photography, so i documented the two weeks that my church spent hosting palestinian students, and made an impulse buy to get started with a program to make it easier to make slideshows (otherwise, i would be using macromedia flash). So... i was wondering if anyone would watch it and critique it... i have some of my own little worries, but i want some other opinions. BTW, the copyright bar at the bottom is only there because i have to use a trial version of the program until the buisness opens on monday and emails my registration code. Thanks in advance.
edit: lol, i forgot to post the url!
Linky!!

Not everyone shows signatures so you might want to include the link in your post. |

Not bad...The music should start 4 seconds earlier. If you shortened the starting title by 4 seconds (it's currently 7 1/2 seconds long), that should be fine. Name/phone at the end maybe? |

I also just purchases Photoshow gold and I love the program. I must say I like your show better than mine! I haven't figured out how to post them on my website yet or anything though.
Only recommendation is that the quality seems a bit low, things are a little "pixellated". If you were going to show this to prospective clients you would probably want to use the more powerful settings (means the show would be a larger size though).
Great show! |

yeah, i set the output quality to lowest so i would have it done for church this morning. The way i got it on my website is hosting it on google video, and using the code they offer to put it into my blog. you could put it into any site that you want, as long as you have access to the html. |

Great show. My only recommentadation other than start the music as soon as the first slide shows, is limit the transitions to only a few similar type fade or transitions. I'm not a fan of the puzzle piece transition at all, a neat effect but not a true professional transition that says "don't turn me off, watch the entire show". Great choice of music. Well done.

Okay....for your first presentation you did really well. But I hope to give you a few tips.
- As others have said, start the music with the show.
- People will lose interest quickly so never have the intro go for to long.
- Slow the slides down...it seems like we are really rushing to get through it.
- The music is beautiful...but be careful with copyright.
- Limit your transitions to a maximum of 2 different ones throughout the show...it comes across more professional.
- Whilst it does show some pixelating you may want to later do a larger screen show for the web. I use ProShow Professional for my clients which gives them a DVD version....but....I also do a web version with PhtoStory3 for Windows. This allows not only the client to view it but with a password on the directory they can give the password to their family and friends in other countries...and they can view it large screen without big postage costs. This program is free.
Does that make sense.
