I have one comment on this photo so far asking how I did this.
I want to know if others here can guess. lol.
Put your best guess forward! I bet its the right answer in the first three guesses though since this group is so intelligent! |

my guesses are...
the water is frozen.. (dont think so)... you shook the glasses and timed the shot... you did multiple exposure...

You're close! blue and dude!
The water isn't frozen. The glasses weren't shook. There is no mulitple exposure. No mirrors. There is real water in the shot. Nothing plastic and not gelatin, but something similar.
Can you guess the actual product used? |

I don't want to leave you hanging. I will be away most of the afternoon so I will explain it now.
I think Blue was the closest. This is "wonder water".
The top glass has actual real regular water in it. The bottom two have wonder water in them. It's some stuff that comes unliquified and you have to heat up the bottle in hot water to get it in the consistancy of glycerin. You pour it into your glass in that form and wait a long time for it to stay still. I did'nt wait that long since I am not patient so the water started to slide down as I took the shots but I think it only makes it look more real.
It was supposed to be four vases though. One at the top, bottom, and both sides with all the flowers facing each other and with all the water level but I lost one vase while it was held on its slant for this shot. It fell back into the pan and I lost the liquid to real water which kills the product.
This stuff is cool. It's reusable to. You can just heat it back up and pour it back into its bottle until you want to use it again. I wouldn't recommend it for anything to fancy though. For one it's VERY expensive. It's $8 for only 7oz of the stuff and I lost about 2oz of that 7 while taking this shot. These vases are really only candle holders because it would have been to much money to make them bigger ones. It also just basically does what it is supposed to do which is give the illusion of water in a vase. If anything to heavy is put in the stuff or if you want to tip it upside down the stuff doesn't hold all that well for to long.
It was kind of cool looking to use for this shot though. :)
