When I'm going through members' portfolios I often wonder how they see their own photography compared to how other's look at it. Obviously, if you put it in your portfolio, you probably like it, but I think it'd be cool to know what you're very favorite photo from your portfolio is! It'd be cool to know why to, I love the story behind a picture :)

Mine:

I like it because it reminds me of this day!! I had just moved 600 miles away from all my friends and family to attend college in San Diego. I didn't know anyone there and I was feeling pretty freaking home sick and it didn't help that it was an overcast day out. I decided I didn't want to be pathetic and sit around so I jumped in my car and started driving. I ended up in San Clemente.... one of my favorite places in the world... the weather totally cleared up and the sunshine was pouring down over the blue blue waters. There happened to be a surf competition that day and even though all I had at that time was my dinky little point and shoot.... I had the most amazing time shooting pics and I decided so cal wasn't so bad afterall! :oD

easily my personal fav. maybe not so much for other, but it is for me. just another day in the yard with the kids, Erin was getting Jaden to smile. I just wish I had one of all of us with this much emotion to it.

No hesitation on this one.

Though I love many, especially some of the newer ones uploaded lately, this one is,
without a doubt, my favorite picture ever, in 30+ years behind the lens:

Was one of those zen moments when everything worked right, AND
it was totally candid - see comments section about this shot.

This is perhaps my only good candid. It is my little boy in the middle. I'm not sure what the girl's *intentions* were; I think she was saying something to him, but I think it is cute that it looks she is trying to kiss him.

Also, my son is a complete airplane fanatic, and we were at a teeny tiny local airstrip. Thus, the Cessna signs. Which adds, IMO, to the humor of the kid on the right looking like he is trying to fly. :)

these are my all time favs, although they didnt go down too well here. They are my favs because I giggled like a love sick schoolgirl while setting them up, taking them and editing them. I had a blast thoroughly enjoyed it.

This would be my fav. because the model is my wife. And i would not say model since this was a candid shot. She was doing something in front of mirror and I was trying understand my new camera.

I just love going to the zoo. When I want to try out some new equipment, that's where I go.

And, I like bears. I just like the look he's giving me on this one.

Not my best photographically, but I'm fond of this one as it's a pretty good (and humorous) picture of my sister. Somehow it's pictures of our family that always seem to have a place close to the heart, you know?

I like a lot of my photos, hence that's the reason I took them. :)
But here's one of my faves that I think is under appreciated.
