K so I was told this image might be a little flat and I agree  but my question is: what would you do to fix it.. had a hard time figuring out what tones I wanted as well and finally settled on these.
 is also flat looking.. not necessarily looking to have people re edit.. but just mebbe some suggestions or tips that I can attempt so I actually learn something.
I'm slowly making my way through the photoshop tut. that was posted earlier today.. which is awesome. |

Presuming that you wanted to retain the muted look of the whole thing, I produced the following with more contrast in the mid-tones. This was done with contrast masking in several stages, but close to the same thing could be had with levels and curves combined. I didn't change color or anything else.

I was using curves and levels to come out with the originals LOL
When i tried playing with contrast I just got alot of hot spots or lost detail. Really wanted to maintain the lines in her face (i love wrinkles) lol
contrast masking you say? apparently i have to look that up ;) lol

Contrast masking is explored in some detail in the Landscape Learning Thread, down near the middle of it; dig around...

| Robert, trust me i'm frustrated enough with photoshop to actually start reading directions :O and thats huge (laughing) thanks for the tips on where to begin looking. |
