I just spent the past week-end in New Orleans. Though the city has a long way to go in it's recovery from Katrina, the French Quarter has managed to come back close to it's former self. Not all the resturants are open and the crowds are down but the big hotels (with the exception of the Hyatt) and a lot of the smaller hotels in the "Quarter" are open for business.
Anyone looking for a great week-end getaway and wonderful picture taking opportunities would do well to check out the "Big Easy".
The local art and photography gallaries along Royal St. are open and the work is amazing.

Those are beautiful images and thanks for sharing them. The lack of people in view, I must admit, is a little disconcerting.

I love that city beyond words. I really hope they make a sweet comeback.
