This is my cousin Maddy. She's 6 months old. Some of you might remember her. She had lung surgery 3 months ago and it is absolutely wonderful that she is still here! She had her check up Monday and is doing even better at healing than could have been hoped for. I took this picture yesterday and would like to make a print for her parents. Does it look OK? Anything need to be changed?

Cute picture, cute baby! My first thought was "needs a tighter crop" so I opened it in PS to see what crop might work best, well.... then I played with it a bit.... because I do that... anyway, shifted the purple to blue to match her eyes. :)

I like that alot Cindi. How do you do the color shift?

:) I actually did a very sloppy job of it, but goes like this:

Image/Adjust image/Replace color. Choose the purple color in your image and use the Hue slider to shift to blue :) That make sense?

I did it! Looks like I'll have to figure out how to go around her head though. For some reason that's staying purple.

When you select the purple, hold shift and click around a few places (especially around the head) so that you get all of the shades of purple. :)

Hey! Here's my go at it...cute baby!

I removed the distracting shadows, the folds in the background, changed the background coloration to better suit the baby's eyes, shadow/highlight fliter, and a "radiance" filter.

Nice job Crystal. I'm using PS7 and I don't have a shadow/highlight filter (that I could find anyway) and the radiance filter does horrible things to the picture. My PS skills aren't very strong though.
