So, I have a show in 3 weeks time (ARRRRRGH!), and am getting a whole whack printed at DPC prints. So, my question is, which of these whould I actually show? Or, rather, which should I not show? I know there are many many images here, so which do you think are the weakest?

Is there a theme/topic?

Edit to add images ordered by preference (left to right, top to bottom).

there are three main areas - the portraits, which aren't for ale. i'm ve=iewing htis as the launch of my portraiture business. they'll be on a wall by themselves. then the fine art prints. then the local landscape-y stuff. there are 4 walls in the space available for hanging, so i'll the different types of work on discrete walls.

I agree that this one should be used:

And if you're starting a portraiture business, I think that this one would draw in clients because it shows how personal and emotive your work can be.

And this one is just adorable and would look great in your portraiture section:

Good luck with your show, you have some good work there.

Hello Christian,

First congradulations on the showing and I hope you have a great turn out.

Now I will offer my opinion since you are asking for help.

On one wall I would group these in order as they appear:

The reasons being that they show childhood in different stages and if arranged in the way I suggest it shows a natural progression in time. Not only that you have a pattern of a vertical portrait with a horizontal picture signifying childhood then another vertical portrait with another horizontal picture signifying childhood.

Next as a transition from the B&W portraiture the following would be on the adjacent wall with a horizontal B & W of the landscape with fisherman to the color landscapes of one vertical and one horizontal.

Lastly would be a show of color/texture/and seasonal representation:

This are just my suggestions but you can see where I am going with this. You want to create visual groupings or patterns which flow from one to the next to help attract and keep the viewers attention as they view your work.

Good luck with the show!
