Hi Folks
A friend of mine, Chris Marquardt (who creates the Tips From The Top Floor photography podcast and runs the associated website/ discussion board //www.tipsfromthetopfloor.com) has been burgled.
He has very recently set up a new business and was literally JUST about to insure all his stuff having just completed the office fit-out and bought some of the equipment.
Home insurance won't cover it.
The thief took the following items:
Canon EOS 5D (brand new)
Serial nr: 0930600355
Canon EF 80-200/2.8L (5 years old)
Serial nr: 27798
Zenitar 12mm Fish-Eye
The camera bag and all its contents
A SAMSUNG R50 laptop (6 months old)
Serial nr: 285F93YB01257
As you can see, the serial numbers for most items are provided.
If you happen to be searching on ebay, please keep an eye out for any of these items. Chris is based in Germany but it's possible the items could have made their way somewhere else, probably still in Europe.
Also, if anyone is feeling particularly generous or has had a good day, perhaps you might feel like making a small paypal donation to his recovery fund (donation button on the Show page of the website).
Thanks for any help you can provide,
Kavey
