This is the first time that I have tried to capture or freeze action. One thing wrong is the flower or bush blocking my view. What else could I have done to catch the action in the photo better or just make the photo better in general? I know the bush is in the way.

Dip

Thank you

The bush gives it a "peeping tom" look.

Exposure is perfect for stopping the action, but the bush really spoils it. Re-shoot, no bush.

Well, at least you have a "quieter" background than the shots I took at our pool last weekend!

You know you can do it now.
Put some thought into composition, angles and background. Decide on what you want to capture. Have a look around and find a good position to shoot from. Plan it in your head and try to 'see' the result before you do it. Shoot a few more. I think that would be the next step.

I don't think there's any point in trying to make this one better. Call it an experiment and attempt to create a better shot.
