heres is a part of the article i got it from cnn.com

Sources: North Korea test-fires long-range missile
North Korea launched at least three missiles early Wednesday -- one of them the long-range Taepodong-2 missile, according to senior State Department sources. A senior State Department official told CNN the Taepodong-2, which U.S. analysts fear could hit the western United States, appears to have failed in mid-air

They had the newsflash during the football on Japanese TV - two went into the Sea of Japan, both after only around 6 minutes after launch. I don't know about the third one.

If the US says the one that could hit the US failed in mid-air, but really it was shot down by them, do you think the rest of the world could prove the truth?

the news i saw said therte were like SCUD missiles - not particulary long range, like ICBMs.

US Military officials reported the much feared long-range Taepodong-2 missile test by North Korea failed within 1 minute of launch.

Early reports say the battery in a Nikon D200 reconnaissance camera mounted in the missle overheated and caused a catastrophic launch failure. CIA analysts said the camera was intended to record any military activity by bikini clad women on California's beaches.

Nikon officials deny any camera technical flaws and said there would be no recall. They said their camera works exceptionally well for the North Korean's known objective. Nikon blames their battery supplier for the mishap.

Why should they be without what other major countries have? :-)) Yeah, I know they are different - or at least on the "other" side - but I just don't understand how one can make the arguement when the countries making it already have these type of weapons.

Do as I say not what I do is never a good basis for understanding :-)
