Many people commented that they didn't see the blur in my photo. I used the zoom blur technique to make the light look like a spot light. I was worried that voters wouldn't be looking for this type of blur, or that maybe I didn't do it good enough. looks like I was right on all accounts. for those that liked it thank you. for those that saw it but didn't think it was good I will try to do better next time:) and for those that didn't see it here is my entry and a much more exagerted version that has not been processed.

it was not added in post processing. what are you talking about. the blur was made by zooing out from a lighted object, the one that is not processed still has the blur just doesn't look as good. |

Extra Rules
Reminder: Motion blur should NOT be added in post processing

If I am reading this right, motion blur was not added in post processing. It was done using a zoom blur effect (physically zooming the lens in or out during the exposure).
Just like this one....

I don't "get" any of these for this challenge (but don't panic, I didn't penalize anybody because of it).
Yes, I understand the concept, but there is no motion involved!
Nothing in those zoom effect photos moved, so I don't understand why anybody would call it "motion blur". |

I am not versed enough in technical photography to know if it is considered motion blur to the greater photog community but I fell in love with this shot by Manic. it was the first ime I had ever seen this technique and wanted to do it. When I saw that the challenge description mentioned zooming I decided to go for it. unfortunatly I don't live near london so...
