2. Beat my highest rated photo score of 6.662 with the "Heat" challenge, then proceeded to beat that one with my "Take Two" score.
3. Try to get my average score up to 6.0, was at 5.5442 when these goals were posted. Currently up to 5.6351
4. Get at least one Ribbon, currently I have 0 a yellow with Heat and then another yellow with Take Two!!! :-)

I don't have any goals yet, but I guess now would be a good time to start. These aren't necessarily for the year, but more ongoing...
- Score a 6.5
- Get my average above 5.5
- Enter at least 2 challenges a month
- Win a ribbon
- Become a member
- World domination
- Maintain a comments ratio of at least 2:1
- 1000 comments |

I have never set any goals for myself in this venue... and so far I have succeeded beyond belief.

1 Brown Ribbon
1 DQ and one stern warning about major elements
Score above my avg score plus my birth weight divided by 10

That's quite an ambitious list you've set for yourself, Ken. Just keep at it and you can achieve anything! :) |

I've been doing pretty well at keeping my resolutions. I think they might count as goals. :) |

I seem to remember that I put down my goal for 2006 in a thread in January which was to photograph Prince. I was hoping that he'd announce a tour and come over the UK. Ah well. |

My long-term goal: set no goals.
So far, I've done really well.

My goal was to take pictures I like and develop a portfolio of good pictures.
As such, I did 5 challenges in a row where I was really proud of the picture. My average score was 4.8642
Then I slipped a little. 3 of the last 5 I pretty much just did so I could enter the challenge (partly because of a competition I'm in), but 2 I'm still proud of. My average score was 4.6798
Now I can happily report that I have 3 photos entered into challenges and I'm proud of all 3. Their average score is currently 4.7396
I seem to be accidentally perfecting the art of taking a good picture that still scores low. And *not* by not meeting the challenge: that's too easy. I call it the art of sucking.

Mine too and I have been able to produce a few images that I am happy with. So it's going well, but I feel I need to put more time and energy and do better. |
