Yes DPCers, today is the day. And I chose to have it in the Philippines. At 6:00 PM, there will be an opening of my first ever exhibit entitled "Portraits of Asia". Here's the link:

Those who are in the Philippines, I hope you can come. And for the DPC community, thanks a whole lot. You have been a BIG part of my journey into photography.

That's wonderful, Manny! I hope you get lots of viewers.
BTW, it's says on that webpage that your dream is to have your images published in a coffee table book - go for it! I'm quite sure it would work. |

Congratulations! I really hope that your "Memoirs" shot is in the exhibit, that is honestly one of the most breathtaking portraits I have ever seen.

The opening turned out quite successfully. Most of the people who went were those who knew me only through the internet. The dpchallenge community were represented by 2 very outstanding photographers in the persons of Edwin and David. I will come back with pictures later. The "Stories of Her Life" picture was bought during the opening.

How much, in American dollars, is P2,000.00?
I see that is the cost to be in your portrait workshop at the gallery held on the 8th. Bet that will be a lot of fun.

50 dollars. Not really a workshop...participants observing me how I take pictures, taking pictures with me and critiquing later. Available light portraits only.

That's funny!!... a bit of a trip for me, but I would like to be there. It would be worth it and fun I'm sure. You will teach a lot about the art of candid portraiture.
Congrats on the opening. Sure to be the first of many, many more to come. You are getting to be quite the celebrity these days. You deserve it for your incredible imagery.
