I have to do a casting call tomorrow dealing with a whole lot of models. Women will be everywhere! What I have is a to go with my Nikon D50 is a SB-Speedflash and a Omni Bounce Diffiser. I have a 70-300mm lens and a 50mm lens, but no studio lights. Any suggestions?

The location is going to affect what you need more than anything else.

Will it be dark or bright or in between? Dark room you'll need some combo of flash and wide aperature lens.

If dark, will the ceilings be high or low? Affects your flash setup.

How close will you be? If you can get close, I say go with the 50mm and get as close as you need to fill the frame.
