I know a lot of you commented on the fact that the water didn't look great in a green hue...

I second that thought, but I really didn't know what hue would look good...because the sky is fake. It is the actual sky from the picture, but the colors are not real.

Should the green water have the same red cast as the sky does, perhaps just a little lighter?

Isn't 1 for 1 supposed to mean you return comments to those who left you comments?

And I do remember the appropriate link.

Whats that supposed to mean?

Comments are being issued...I'm in the process of moving into a new house right now.

Let's lay off the sarcasm and childishness.

Wasn't intending to be childish or sarcastic. You haven't made a single comment all day, yet you had time to bump your thread a few times. I was simply asking a question.

And which photos do they want me to comment on btw...only one person who commented has an open thread in this forum looking for comments on their photos...

You get to choose which of their photographs you comment on. That's the 1 for 1 deal. People take the time to give you comments, you take the time to get them comments. That's how it works.

I think if you are going to start asking opinions on your photos here you might consider removing this from your profile:

Yes...I have no clue either...but VIVA DPC - as long as you don't talk to any of the "experts" here you'll do fine! Unfortuatenly, every member here is an expert. Good luck

ok...sounds good..

for the two people i found who had open pictures I already left them comments.

When I said 1 for 1 I meant it...I didn't know the comment police had to show up and make sure I was giving my thoughts within a certain time frame.

I promise, I mean what I say...everyone will get their comments.

Rex. Are you my mother in secret disguise? Can you please leave my thread alone?

My god...if everyone around here could just worry about themselves and follow the boards and do what they are supposed to do in each topic discussion then it would be a great great place.

But for some reason, there is a certain group of people who think they have the right to barge into everyone's thread and tell them exactly what they should be doing and how they should be doing it.

Rex....if you aren't commenting, I have to ask you to leave.

Rex, that wasn't necessary.
06/30/2006 04:52:42 PM · #20
you dont have to leave me a comment. I dont really care about the 1 for 1 . I was just trying to answer your questions.

Edited for spelling

guess that was a bit late. Thank you for your comment. I do have another more processed version in my portfolio.

Rex. If you can't show respect when someone asks you to leave their thread, you should really look back at yourself.

Everyone that has touched this thread with the exception of you has been left a comment. I will even comment on a picture of yours if you would please respect my request to leave this thread alone.

please try to stay on topic, everyone. Thank you!

You might want to revisit your editing techniques as far as the red sky is concerned. The harsh transition from the sky to the water to the ground seems very unnatural. Your first edit shows a "halo" where sky and water meet. If you're going for the surreal look, then I think you can pretty much do whatever you want to do. But if you're going for something that shows a bit of realism, then I think this image doesn't quite make it. The red (sky), green (water), and blue (sand) combination doesn't convey a strone aesthetic image.

The second image isn't any better either. I think it's even worse to be brutally honest. How many times can you really see "red water"? Just a thought.

These are my personal opinions. I'm no expert but since you asked.

Rikki
