Earlier I posted some pics from my first wedding shoot, well here are some pics from my first kids portrait shoot (other than my son who lives with a camera pointed at him!).
Work colleague wanted some black and white shots of her two boys after seeing a stall by a professional franchise studio that came to work one day. after being told what she wanted would be £800+, she asked me if I could do something similar. She wanted contrasty B&W images to be printed BIG, like 20X30 inches... (She loves the results by the way!)
These are a couple of the shots from the day, the first being my overall favourite!
What do you guys think?
(PS - were shot at her home with just my Sigma DG500 Flash, no studio for me!)
The last I love, but was a lucky catch as he though I wasn't looking and the composition is a bit off, cutting his chin off slightly...

Wow! Fun, creative framing and compositions, and nice b/w conversion. I especially like the moody feel of the first one.

The older one looks like he loves to pose. You got some great expressions out of him. Great job! |

Wow - Cheers for the nice comments guys. I though they may have been more harsh!
Looking at them now, I think I would have achieved what I wanted more if I had shot against a pure white background with better lighting, though as I don't have any of this at the moment, I had to make do!
