Ask him did he really think about taking out one of his rivals (DrAchoo) when he had the chance earlier this year and using his lifeless body to take a photo with live ladybugs on it. :P

Some traditional ones:
Quotation to live by? Books on your nightstand? Movies watched more than twice? Recordings played when your soul needs a lift? Place you would most like to visit?

I had a chance here 'cause he wasn't looking but was trigger shy.

Hey Doc. How about another "trip" to Skagit Valley? This time, I'll drive.

Hey gang, I only reserve about 10-12 minutes of the podcast for the actual interview. How many questions can I fit in??? With Larus we chatted for about 48 minutes and I whittled it down to 11 by some freak of nature but it's going to be tough on this one. I'm contemplating later posting more of the interview...I'm keeping all the raw audio around in case we want to revisit it. Wish us luck!

Perhaps an outtakes and bloopers run would be fun later down the line. :)

I agree with some others and would like to see less of the other stuff and more interview time. Rikki should be an interesting guy! Always weird to hear their real voice as to what you subconciously thought they sounded like.

And I've sent you a PM ;-)

I imagine Rikki sounds like Moe from the Simpsons.

The who/what/where/why of architecture as a careeer.

What does he do for fun besides hang out on the online depot for photography umm.... enthusiasts (geeks)

If you had to choose one other photographer whose work inspired you most, who would it be and why.

Do you carry a lucky charm or keep other highly cherished objects.

Do you collect anything besides lenses?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie pop?

If you were a dragon, what would you look like?

Just whatever you use to to play mp3s should work. I used Windows Media Player to listen although I had to save it to my hard drive and then play it (save target on the link he provides). Other than that it worked fine.

When are you coming to "Australia", (serious) so that I can meet you.....

So I guess the big ticket items here are:

1. What's with the hair?
2. What's up with orange? There are a gazillion other colors in the palette!
3. Are Ken and I long lost brothers?
4. Did Bear push me to the limits of Hyper-Processing?
5. Do I pee in my pants
6. Do I suck? Ummmm better not say anything about that and the "crotch" issue :)
7. And the hundreds of other things :P

This will be fun. Lee, can you spare at least 6 hours? LOL!

Hey David ;) It'll be most likely during the holidays again ;) We'll make a side trip to the Philippines and then go to Nagoya. Let's plan on something as the date approaches again ;)

Question: Do you have a special key on your keyboard for the ;) symbol?
06/29/2006 09:20:30 PM · #69
Ok so Japan and Australia wants you to visit. Rikki, I think you are at the point where you need a publicist and an assistant to book flights and do meet and greets. :P

Does one need to be a member to receive this podcast? I'm interested but no nothing about it other than it is coming?
06/29/2006 10:07:59 PM · #75
When a new podcast is posted I provide both a link to the rss feed and the mp3 file. If you have an mp3 player and use a podcatcher (a program that lets you subscribe to a podcast and will automatically download new episodes as they become available) then you simply click on the rss feed, cut and cut and past that url into your podcatching software and it will then show the episodes available to download. If you don't have an mp3 player or podcathing software you can use the other link and simply stream the mp3 file from the web or download it by right clicking on the link and saving the target file. If you search the forums for the word "podcast" you should be able to find the threads for episode 1 and 2 where the first entry in those threads provides the links to both the rss feed and the mp3 file.
