		| Still life would indeed be stationary, but stationary doesn't necessarily mean still life . . . |

Right--anything not moving is stationary. Still life has a narrower definition.

At least it will educate some on the difference between the two words, as they (hopefully) read the challenge details.

Challenge Details: That is with an E not an A so it means stuff you write on. It's not as "dumbs" as it sounds; lots of people have submitted extraordinary images of paper.

I don't know who to contact about this typo. Maybe one of you do. As it is, it sounds kind of dumb.

I'm more concern about the voters thinking they are voting on the other one. :P |

		| As long as your stationery is stationary you'll have no problems regardless of which one you enter. |

As far as I'm aware stationery includes pens, pencils, paper clips, stickers etc. not just paper. Am I wrong??

		| I think I'm a bit thickheaded...I'm not sure what might qualify for a "stationary" picture. I realize it means not moving...like take a picture of a bike parked kind of a thing? My head is swimming with all the ideas. |

I think "stationary" is used for things that can move, like trains and cars (i.e. have locomotion), to describe them when they are stopped.
Generally, I wouldn't apply the word to other objects like flowerpots or fridge magnets. |

I have seen flowerpos with the ability of locomotion, I had an ex girlfriend that when she was angry, a lot of usually still objects developed the ability to fly, (sometimes at me) usually with resulting harm to the flowerpot

lol, reminds me of an old friend's mother. When she got mad she threw shoes. The memory is now inextricably linked to Austin Powers... Honestly, who throws a shoe?

Definitions of stationary on the Web:

     * standing still; "the car remained stationary with the engine running"
     * not capable of being moved; "stationary machinery" |
