Hi
I am talking with someone who has a Fujifilm S2 pro camera, who states that it isn't possible to set a custom white balance, for example at 6500K. I see on the tech specs that you CAN set a custom white balance (2 to be exact) but I don't know how to do it as I am a canon shooter. I don't have his camera in front of me to play.
Can someone post the workflow to set the custom white balance?

I don't have the camera either and you apparently have to pay for the older version of the manuals but I looked at the S3 manual and this is what it said...
1Turn the camera on and select Photography
mode.
2Press the âMENU/OKâ button to display the
SET-UP screen.
Press < or > to move to options 1 to 5.
1Press (up) or (down) to select a menu option.
2Press < or > to change the setting.
Press > for âCUSTOM WBâ, âFORMATâ,
âDATE/TIMEâ, âDISCHARGEâ, âRESETâ or âLIVE
IMAGEâ.
Press the âF1â (custom WB 1) button or the âF4â (custom WB 2) button to select the custom
white balance you want to set.
Turn the focus mode selector switch to âMâ (Manual
focus) and set the focus manually.
Set the exposure mode to âPâ, âSâ or âAâ.
Hold up a page of white paper or a similar object
under the target light source so that the paper
fills the viewfinder screen. Then press the shutter
button to set the custom white balance.
h Range of custom WB settings
Color temperatures from approx. 2800 K to
9500 K
S3 manual
NO idea if that's any help. |

hey there.
thanks.
Yeah that was helpful. It looks like the custom white balance is just set by shooting a white piece of paper. I guess maybe it can't be set to a desired Kelvin setting, like the canons can.
