I think it would be intersting to have one of the basic editing challenges be a "no editing whatsoever" challenge. In-camera adjustments would be ok. But the only post-processing would be resizing. No cropping, no touching up at all.

I debated clicking the search button before I posted, but it's just so easy to post.

We'll have to change that ...

Also, you are more than welcome to submit an image "straight from the camera" to any challenge ...

The general consensus is that there is no such thing as an uneditted photo. In-camera settings (parameters) are editting steps, applying things such as contrast, sharpness, WB, etc.

Also, for the most part, anything that can be done in RAW conversion has been for the mmost part been deemed "in-camera" at DPC. Also, you do have to resize the photo and apply some sharpening....

so, it just turns out that there is no such thing as an uneditted photo.

Even the film you drop off at the drug store is editted.

Well, since there is no such thing as an unedited photograph, let's have a "straight from your camera" challenge. The only manipulation that would be legal is resizing and file compression to meet the normal dpc limits. No RAW, jpeg only. Not even any borders. I'll bet it gets lots of entries.

Bump for the late crowd.

As ursula said: "And photoshopping is for sissie, he, he, he :)"

"people fear what they do not understand"
this can be derived to two different meanings in this case:
1. that people who do not understand photoshop wished to level the playing ground for at least once
2. people who rely on photoshop fear that their little advantage be taken away for that one time

...and the debate goes on...
