What is an ISBN number? How can I locate a book, if I know its ISBN number? |

You can plug that number in at Amazon.com (probably other places as well) and use the search feature...the book with the ISBN number will come up in the results.
edit to add, the number can usually be found on the back of most books near the bar code. Also, inside on the first page or two with the publisher info...

I have tried at Amazon.com, but of no use. They probably sell more popular books only.
I want to search a book with ISBN 8172454368. Can anyone help? |

Is this book related to the "Da Vinci Code" in any way? Maybe it was used as reference material by author Dan Brown?
Searching various ISBN locations (plug "ISBN search" into Yahoo or Google) the ISBN you've provided comes up blank. Using the ISBN as a keyword on a book search site pulls up the Da Vinci Code book.

Some other clues might be helpful (Author, Title, etc...).
Good luck. |

ISBN stands for "International Standard Book Number". There is no book under the number you specified. |

I know it's NOT the Da Vinci code. I asked if it was RELATED to it in any way. As mentioned before, when I plug that number in as a keyword the Da Vinci Code book comes up. Like maybe the ISBN you mention is listed as a ref book used to put the Da Vinci Code book together.
Again, some other clues would be helpful...even a subject genre. |

Can you repost the ISBN number with all the dashes included? You can also try this yourself...
