When you view another profile you have the option of selecting that person or one of their photos as a favorite.
06/25/2006 11:15:51 PM · #5
Yeah...but how do i select my favorites of my own to be displayed on the front page on my profile?
06/25/2006 11:20:14 PM · #6

Yup! You got a fav on the re-edit of that one already.

It always helps if you compose on thirds to begin with, then you dont have to lop half your pic off, or do a lot of resizing/resampling, but I also know how hard it is to see it that way through the viewfinder. I never remember, and I take pics centered myself, then recompose when I edit.

Hey - I just noticed you are only 15! That changes things, you are doing a good job already. You will do nothing but learn here. Send out requests for comments like you did in this thread. Also browse the highest rated photos, try to see what makes them good, as far as composition, lighting, fit to challenge and so on. Many of the challenge winners will give details on the shot and the post processing. Those are great areas to learn.

You can also search the forums for "Learning Thread" or "dpc mentorship" A few to look at to start with are:

Learning Thread ΓΆ€” Landscape Photography

Photoshop Basics Mentorship Group: Workflow Thread

DPC Mentorship - Exposure

DPC Mentorship - Exposure Part II

DPC Mentorship - Natural Light

Hope this helps,

Maya

P.S. You must have had a lot of time on your hands to load all of those pics in a day! I know how long it takes to load one pic, I would go crazy trying to load as many as you did.

Not really...just like 2 hours...I just prepared them all by resizing and lowering the resolution...for some reason each photo only took about 20 secounds to load in.

Alex, these are lovely. You really have some nice ones there. I especially love the swimming tiger and the dachshund (I have a soft spot for dachshunds). You seem to have good control of your Rebel and a love for shooting. You'll do well, just keep learning. Even old pros have to keep learning every day or they miss out.

Left you some comments, and you are doing really so well for your age.....
We learn each and every day, as a beginner, or as a pro.....
Remember to alway enjoy what you are doing, and don't be afraid to ask lots of questions.....
