I was looking at some of Joey's photos with my daughter and she saw his comment about Locks of Love. She and I visited the website and she immediately asked if she could donate her hair. 12" is headed off Monday to Locks of Love.

Before

After

Thank you Joey for sharing the information for Locks of Love!!

A wonderful thing she did. She has a peaceful smile in the after photograph like she knows she did something good for someone.

That is just so beautiful, and such a generious thing to do.....
You must be so proud of her. I am also very proud to see such a wonderful gesture.....
May you have a treasured, and special life ahead of you, my sweet angel.....
You are one very special young lady.....

pat yourself on the back for doing a great job installing good values into your child.

Thank you all!! She can hardly wait to go to the post office on Monday to mail it out! She also loves her short hair and had been swinging her hair around all night until bedtime :) I'm very proud of her and I made it through her first major haircut without a tear :)

Something to be proud of, for sure. Her new cut is adorable to boot.

I have to say .. when we look at this 12" ponytail it doesn't look like enough .. I know every bit helps .. but she's going to grow her hair again so she can give again .. I have such wonderful children and I am thankful for them daily :)

my hair grows fast too . I have my head shaved for the summer. Have to shave it every single day if I do not want a 5 oclock shadow on my head. which is strange for me because I only need to shave my face 2 to 3 times a week.

That is a great and wonderful thing your daughter did! I've never donated to locks of love, but I am a client...

What a wonderful thing for her to do!

On a side note, My dad has been growing his hair out for over a year now to do the same thing. If and when I decide to cut my hair off again I too will be sending mine to locks of love.
