I woke up this morning and braved the heat and crowds to go to the car show at the Peach Festival here in Ruston, Louisiana...Here's just a small handful of the shots I got...the first 4 are normal...the second 4 have been through a little photoshopping...feel free to comment.

Great shots. Left comments. I love car shows for the number of photo ops, but it is hard to get good shots with all the chrome and cars around. You did a good job with these. Thanks for giving me something to look at today. I am unfortunately down on my back this week and can't get out to do anything, even though I just got my 50mm 1.8 II lens.

thanks for the comments...it was really cool to see all those old rides looking showroom new...and you guys are right, it's hard to shoot...they pack them together so close that you almost have no choice but to shoot these close-crop detail shots...any shot of an entire car is guaranteed to have chairs and trophies and people all around it...i see all these detail shots as a nice set of pieces grouped together on a wall in my house! :)
i did manage to snag a few full-car shots
and of course, the star of the show, the Pink Panther
