I'll be visiting back east (Rhode Island) next month, and was thinking about breaking up the road trip by stopping in PA or NY. Does anyone know if Hawk Mountain is worth visiting in July? I think most of their activity is in the Spring and Fall.

Any other wildlife photography ideas for PA or NY?

Its a raptor sanctuary on the eastern flyway. Most of the activity is during the spring and fall migration periods. At the peak of migration I think they count up to some crazy quantity like 8,000 hawks a day flying over. They have other activities/events, but their main focus seems to be spring and fall.

In October 05, went to Hawk Mountain, set up tripod with many other photographers and waited 3 hours only to see turkey vultures.
