How do most of you handle carrying a tripod when you have to fly?
Just curious since I will be flying soon and have a newer tripod (Gitzo 1340) that wont fit in my bag.

| Mine goes in checked luggage. Remove the head so it fits better. |

ULTRA-MAXi-F = fits on my Tamrac bag and onto carry on.

I've always packed it into my checked luggage... had to unscrew the head to fit into a suitcase, but it fits (just!) into my travel backpack. Of course, that means less space for frivolities like clothes. :)
Someone in a previous thread mentioned the "Bazooka" //www.thinktankphoto.com/ttp_product_Bzka.php - it's on my wishlist somewhere. :)
