eta; And pass me the same! I just finished an email complaining to the animal control officer about the neighbours' 4 noisy dogs. I hate making official complaints, but they won't do anything and my daughter's getting sick from lack of sleep! |
what the hell... why do they need 4 dogs?

They don't! The old man had a cocker spaniel. He died, son moved in with the yappy rat on steroids. They have what was, I think, the pool house and is now a suite. Someone (a sister?) recently moved in with two labs, the old one of which has the biggest, deepest, longest baying-type bark I've ever heard from a lab!
The rat barks at anything, everything and absolutely nothing, and gets the spaniel going. They're outside from 7am until 1 or 2 am. The labs aren't out too often, thank goodness.

The day ends in 'Y' and sometimes life just gets too much....I rarely drink....as it only takes 2 drinks and I am on the table dancing. My photo partner is a bugga and knows this...so he makes me triple Splice cocktails and makes me keep up with him...tsk tsk! So when I say...pass me a drink...then...please...somebody..pass me a drink!! And make it strong..!

From Wikipedia: The phrase "Hair of the Dog" is predominately used to refer to imbibing an alcoholic beverage to cure a hangover, although it has seen limited use with respect to other drugs. The intent in so imbibing is to lessen or postpone the effects of the hangover, or the withdrawal from that drug. It is a shortened form of the phrase "The hair of the dog that bit you".
