I am new here and have been seeing the little rubber ducky image bestowed on some images. What is that exactly??
Thanks! |

They are from an April Fool's Day challenge. Everyone who entered got one. :) |

Thanks mk for your fast response.
I thought it was a pretty cute logo and had been wondering everytime I encountered it.
Any other ''easter eggs'' on this site? |

Probably quite a few but you'll just have to discover them as you go along. |

Easter egg in this context just means hidden little things that aren't necessarily in the rules/documentation but are individually discovered. There are lots of things that aren't officially documented on this site, just like the rubber ducky award. Or that you can view your profile by using username.dpchallenge.com. Stuff like that. :) |

Maybe you will know this mk. How does one use username.dpchallenge.com when the username contains a space. I've tried to figure it out with no luck... Examples are I Enjoy Ham and Napalm Nymph. |

If you're using IE, you can replace the spaces with %20. That doesn't seem to work in Firefox, though, at least for me. I'm trying to hunt down a reason/solution for that. |

Use %20 instead of the space.
example:
//I%20Enjoy%20Ham.dpchallenge.com |

If I knew there would've been awards handed out to everyone for that challenge, I would've entered something. Now, whenever I see them I just have regrets & sadness. :-(

I'm realizing from my own quote that FireFox auto-lowercases the URL. To a DNS server i%20enjoy%20ham.dpchallenge.com != I%20Enjoy%20Ham.dpchallenge.com |

That shouldn't matter though. Using lowercase on usernames that are technically uppercase still works. |

Ever since Win95 came out some 10 years ago (or more), I've been fighting with long file names that contain spaces. I've been coding AROUND the OS defficiencies when handling directories and files with a space in their name. Call me old-fashioned, but I have never named a file or a directory with a space in it. User names fit into same category... |

I'm with ya brotha! The closest I come to using spaces is the underscore! Hence my screenname.
