Now you're on the right track. Definitely a vast improvement with the color. You can do a lot with a RAW file. |

with the corrected white balance, these shots are just lovely! i really love the horse head close up...nice composition!!!

I'm sorry about the tone of the other comment I made - let me explain myself:
Someone commented on your picture of the horse saying "great color" - when clearly the white balance was WAYYY off. This really bothers me because it gives YOU a false sense of what a picture should look like. If you take what they say and recreate that color everytime you do a picture your whole portfolio will be ruined.
Telling someone that something is good when it is in fact not is only hurting everyone. So I decided to step in and put my point across that...NO, the color is not good, the white balance is way off. The tone I used (which again I apologize for) was mostly directed at the commenter who said the color was good rather than the photographer.
Next time I will just alter the picture for the person and say, "this is what good color in the picture would be, in my opinion" and leave it at that.

I worked on this picture again. A slightly different edit. Corrected WB, levels, some dodge & burn.
