| I'm looking at getting a fisheye lens as my new toy. I've been looking at sample shots from the Zenitar 16mm, however, there seems only to be a marginal difference between that and my current Tokina 12-24mm. Should I wait around until I have enough money to buy a winder fisheye? |

Hmmm... difficult. If you've got a 12-24, do you really need a 16mm fisheye? I've found with my fisheyes (Peleng 8mm and Zenitar 16mm) that on an APS-C (ie crop) cam, you don't get the full fish effect, so it'll only really be a distorted wide-angle at 16mm. However, the 8mm fisheyes are definitely still fishy on a crop cam, and I've heard very good things about Nikon's 10.5mm fish, so I personally would go for one of those two rather than the 16mm.
EDIT: OK, the 8mm is really Chiqui's lens, but hey... ;o)

someone peeking over your shoulder ?? I personalyl like my Zenitar 16mm, but it is definitely not fishy on the DSLR. Still makes a wonderful wide lens though. If you're wanting fishyness, definitely for for the 10.5 or see if you can find a 8mm for Nikon. |

| The 8mm Peleng is cheap and fun! It is far from being perfect, but I really enjoy playing with it. |
