I just got back from a trip to Montana where we saw some amazing wildflowers, more than 50! Now I need to put names with a few of them. Please help if you can...

I've tried to ID some......not 100% sure, but 95% sure! I love wildflowers, we have some of those in Newfoundland.

Thanks for the ID's guys! I am trading them for comments just for fun.

Any help on the stalky red or fuzzy purple ones?

I'd love to help out, but I can barely tell a rose from a carnation :-(

Think #1 is a stemless goldenweed
#3 may be a Lupine
#8 may be a large false Solomon Seal

It is a bit hard to identify without seeing the leaves on some of them. I have this Wildflowers of the Pacific Northwest book which helps me!

I'll give 'em a go tomorrow... wild plants are kinda my thing :)

There, I've done what I can with them :) The trouble with common names is that they often vary so much by area. That's why I've thrown the Latin stuff at you where I could. Hope it helps! :)

Guess I should have made a new comment instead of editing, to be sure Erin notices :)
